In May we celebrate 16 years
of work to help improve the quality of education and the lives of children, young people and their communities, focusing our work on childhood.
We believe that quality education is the one that generates the greatest opportunities for people, so every day, all of us who make up the great team of Fundación Alda
work to make it happen.

Sharing successful experiences
“Management Leadership and Network of Public Schools”
was the name of the presentation through which Fundación Alda
formed the board of experts “Building the foundations of the policy for participation in the educational area”. It was convened by the Ministry of Education and Science (MEC)
, within the framework of the design of the “Participation policy in the education area” (OEI/EU Agreement) and the project “Social participation in the management of education policy at national, departmental and local level focused on improving educational quality.”
The activity was attended by Mr. Robert Cano, Vice Minister of Basic Education, Departmental Directors of Education, parents’ representatives and student referents.
Our Executive Director Lucía Paulo attended the event on behalf of Fundación Alda along with the principals Sandra Servín of the Basic School No. 5633 Santa Rosa and Carlos López of the Basic School No. 7591 Pabla Ferreira, who make up the Network of Schools of the city of Limpio.
The contribution was highly valued by all participants and enriched by the presence of the actors themselves.
BBVA donates technological resources to Central department public schools
provided computer equipment for the Alda Educa project.
They will help 2,570 children in Central department public schools to have access to technology.
This donation of technological resources will constitute a facilitating means of pedagogical processes in order to contribute to the improvement of educational quality.
Commemorating the European Cultural Month. Puppet show on children’s rights
Within the framework of the project “My school, my community, my life: protected and free from violence”
, developed with the support of the European Union, a puppet show took place featuring short real thought-provoking stories about children, encouraging the promotion of their rights.
The activity was part of the celebrations of the “European Cultural Month”
, which seeks to spread the European Union
values and celebrate friendship with Paraguay.
The staging took place at the Juan de Salazar Basic School No. 863 in the city of Limpio and was in charge of the
61 teenagers from Limpio develop life skills through robotics as part of non-formal education activities.
Over the course of the different training sessions, teenagers learn about the origins of robots, their evolution throughout history, and then learn how to assemble and manage them.
The aim is for them to develop social and cognitive skills, while understanding the origin and importance of robotics in industry, health, construction, etc.
National Day against sexual abuse and exploitation of children and adolescents
On May 31, the Alda team dressed in green and with posters containing statements related to the date, joined the national campaign #TODOSSOMOSRESPONSABLES (We are all responsible)
, promoted by the Ministry of Childhood and Adolescence
By doing this, we renew our commitment to the promotion of rights, the protection of children and adolescents and the construction of spaces where children and adolescents can grow happily and protected.
