The ceremony was attended by Mr. Eduardo Escobar, Viceminister of Childhood and Adolescence Comprehensive Protection and Mr. Emilio Fernández, Director of Protagonist Participation from the Ministry of Childhood and Adolescence ; Ms. Rosa Peña, Educational Supervisor of the city of Limpio from the Ministry of Science and Education ; Ms. Rosanna Menchaca, CCFC Paraguay Communication Manager; Ms. Cecilia Sirtori, UNICEF Paraguay Communication Officer, and Mr. Alejandro Loza from Grupo Barcelona.
The launch of the website “Present! Childhood and youth participating in the change” was one of the crowning moments. The mentioned website provides with good practices for child and youth participation, tools and resources to promote it in different contexts as well as productions the young members have created to express their ideas.
Then, all guests had the opportunity to appreciate the 3 short films developed during the “Workshop of short films with cell phones” dictated by Sofia Paoli Thorné. Subsequently, the jury formed by Miguel Agüero, Rosanna Menchaca, Tana Schémbori, Lara Decuzzi, Pablo Noé, Juan Carlos Lucas and Nancy García, professionals of cinematography, communication and television, announced the winners in each category:
Finally, the verdict of the public, who had the chance to vote and choose the winning short film in the category “Audience Award”, appointed “Topa ky´a” .
On the order hand, a prize was given to all the participants which constisted of a reflection, recreation and integration day in San Bernardino, with activities by Aventura Extrema and Consultora Potencial Humano.
We feel very happy about this major step in the construction of spaces for participation in the change, where children and teeanagers have acquired learnings, experiences and most importantly, a new way of making their voices heard and expressing their ideas.
We especially thank the CCFC for assissting and making the successful completion of this process possible. We also thank Grupo Barcelona, Tekoha Audiovisual and Fotos Bardella for joining the #AldaCommitment to continue transforming the lives of children, teenagers, and their communities through new and better opportunities.
